No kidding re bumping! I just now looked at this:

    https://earthsky.org/sun/sun-activit...urora-updates/

Which gives daily updates to coronal activity.

There was an x-flare (big) on Monday that's still causing probs in the radio world around the N pole.

Yeah, the Polar absorption lasts for 2-3 days, that generally affects the Canucks. The flares are a problem for a short term if they hit during the day. The CME usually follows 36-72 hours after the flare.
Of course I won't get to see the auroras or Perseids because it will cloud up tonight here.

    Interview Monday.

After some quiet time, the sun is getting sporty again. A couple hours ago, a X5 flare was released, the largest of cycle 25. This follows a X2.8 flare on Dec. 14th. The X5 released today originated from sunspot 3536 just appearing on the sun's eastern horizon. It is not expected to be geo-effective. That will not be the case in a few days as the sun turns that side toward us.
    Just FYI.

Supposedly a solar flare, at night, caused ATT cell service to go down. Then I watch another video on the 1969 lunar trip by Neil and company Apollo II

No stars, no wind, but flag waving, body language, no blast or landing hole, footprints too clear. Something about hiding the true shape of the Earth. Rogan 's crew thinks it's flat......

    Oil Well

It looks like it's warm enough to get by with 2 pairs of sweats, a Tshirt and a hoodie. Better go do something outside

AT&T is calling it a software problem that didn't get picked up untill it went live in their system. The timing of the outage doesn't match up with any of the solar flares that happenned that day.
    Maybe next time.
