The Swing Box (truck tool box)

I've been wanting a small tool/stuff box for my truck for a while and I settled on the Swing Box. I liked it because it actually swings out for easy access. This isn't the most secure box in the world but I'm not keeping anything expensive in the box. Just jumper cables, a couple of simple tools, rags and a small GHB. Hot Nursey bought it for me for my birfday.

    Out-Standing Sas my boy!

Excellent decision! If memory serves, you have a Toyota Tundra? Toyota pickups are notorious for their weak bed. If you add a Bed Stiffener, like the ones that Total Chaos Products offers, you may not be able to use the SwingBox

Below are the ones that I installed on our Offroad Tacoma..

Interesting. I'll have to do some research into this.

That is kinda cool! My bed is getting like swiss cheese after 11 winters. I'm guessing I will build a flatbed in the next 2-3 years.

Pretty cool and a good idea. I have never seen a swing out tool box like that.

The bed may not hold up well being hit by a deer...

    Ask me how I know?

I heard it repeatedly from the Off-Roaders when I was building our Tacoma Improvements. Then I went down the YouTube Rabbit Hole and decided that $179 to reinforce the Tacoma bed was a good deal. The Tundra may be different.

Take a measurement at the bottom of the bed and also at the top of the bed. If there is some hidden damage, you'll see it in the difference. You can then use a ratchet strap to get the bed plumb/straight and install the bed stiffeners.

Your mileage may vary of course!
