Luckily I didn't have to pop a cap in anyone. In fact, there was about a day and a half where I didn't see a single person.

Came across this place. Apparently some miners long ago got the bright idea to carve shelters into the rock to get out of the 100+ degree weather. Some had doors and if you look close you can see where they carved shelves for their belongings.

Found this cemetery in the old miner community. First tombstone was so old and weathered you couldn't read who it belonged to. The other one has some really old folks on it. The headstone was fairly modern so I'm guessing family replaced the old one with the newer version.

Wow great pics! I'd like to see the desert one day. Never been to one before. Except Vegas but that doesn't count.
