I bought them over 35 years ago, The most expensive was $450.00

I don't shoot them much, just to keep my kid up to date.

They are worth too much money today.

If the download works, this is my belt gun, an MG-34 with Lafett searching tripod.

This is not mine, but representative of it.

I have fired its brother - a later model. I don't remember the m designation, maybe M42, M43? Very high rate of fire, perhaps 1,000 rpm. A friend of the time had that and a Browning M2.
I occasionally visit NFA dealers websites, just to drool. I had an M3A1 submachine gun (aka Grease Gun) in Vietnam. I see that these days, when they are available, go for $12,000 to $15,000 and higher.
Another friend and VVA compatriot has all his proper paperwork and has an M16A1 and a WWII BAR. He says we can go shoot them anytime I care to. I'd love to give the BAR a try.

It was an MG-42, world of difference between them.

The 34 is all forged and machined parts, the 42 all stampings and castings.

The equivalent comparison is the Thompson and the M3A1 in the construction.

I had both of them, did not like the 42 and I kick my ass for letting the M3 go.

My M3 was not an A1 but a WW2 Guide Lamp Division of GM job, actually made in Worcester Ma. for them.

I cut my teeth on a 1917 Browning water cooled, love that gun and all the other Browning's.

One night op, I went through over 7k of ammo through an M37 Browning without a hitch or any stoppage.

I told my daughter she will have a nice nest egg when I am gone, she said she is not going to get rid of them.

No thanks, I will just borrow yours when I need a thrill. I do not want to support one either financially or from a liability perspective.
