Genset Maintenance this Weekend... Drain and Refill Oil... 28 hours on it.
I lift it with the FEL on the Tractor... I use the ShopVac and an empty oil jug to "suck" the oil and metal fillings out.
Makes quick work of the job. I am ready to rock for the April showers brings May poweroutages crap.

I got a well pump... Takes a lot of juice on start up. Oh and Sparkle (wife) likes her A/C (5ton unit)
It also charges the Battery "Banks" (UPS with Larger Batteries) faster.
I have a lil harbor freight inverter genset (2Kw)for running stuff at night. Its the cheap "honda" version.

I'm on a submersible well at about 55 ft deep. But my AC is only 2 ton

Just ordered a Becker BK7 (to pair with BK2, BK9, and BK13). In addition, I ordered some new firesteel rods. I will have to test those out.

I also ordered a couple Katadyne portable inline carbon filters for family bug out bags. Those filters will replace the Platypus Carbon Elements I bought. The Katydine ones come apart and can be filled with blackened ash from a fire in the field to keep them going.

That is a nice generator. One of my friends bought a military surplus generator. It runs on diesel so he can easily store fuel for it. His is a very large model. I do not know how many watts it is rated for though. His also had very low hours on it.

Prepping for BBQ. Finally on sale at Meijer $9.99 for two 18.6 lbs bags limit two. More on the next trip. Regular price is ridiculously higher than a kite.
