I did not know this, I am going to experiment with this when we go on our three day winter backpacking trip in January.

Kinda cool vid. I liked the part 'first look for evergreen trees'. Up here our coniferous to deciduous ratio is about 98:2.
We don't have a special name for it, but try and avoid it when putting up our 8-10 cord. LOL No probs starting fires up here.

For those of you with fire places in your house- Do NOT over use "fatwood" in your fire place. Use it only for starting your fire. It burns very hot. It lights very easily. It burns for a good while. It smells wonderful. It will also fill your chimney with flammable soot if too much is burned, and cause an extreme hazard of a chimney fire.
