What can I do with these?? Ended up buying far too many to consume so my try my hands (OK Mrs pheniox hands as me + kitchen = fire) in preserving them??

Canning is not quite on the cards (unless water bath??) But ideas so it can improve my food stores??

Havent done much (well any) googling on it, but i know you guys dont eat crap so best place to srart

Do you have land? Use them to grow new ones.

Slice them and dehydrate them then bag them or put them in jars. Then you can rehydrate them in stuff like soups or cassroles and enjoy them at your leisure on a "rainy day".

My folks shredded and froze a bunch when I was a kid. They lasted a long time but I don't remember the taste.

If you want them to last a very long time keep them in a moist, cool, and very dark environment. The moisture keeps them from drying out and becoming raisins, the cold (above freezing) keeps them dormant, and the dark keeps them from turning green (and poisonous).

Slice them very thin, fry them in oil, some other thread on here says you can use them to light a fire. LOL
