A while back I got some of these cheap chinese finger poppers. I thought that in a pinch they might make a quick perimeter alarm by just tying them to a piece of kevlar line across the approaches to wherever. Weather permitting, of course. Also, since I'm just an over-growed boy I just can't resist anything that goes bang. Especially if it's cheap.
One problem is keeping them dry until the unlikely day I might need them.
A while further back I bought some of these soda bottle performs figuring they would be good for keeping something dry that I didn't want to get wet.
Bingo!
