Any takers at $40 SHIPPED? Great backup phone or first kids' phone.

I do not believe that children or even teens should have a cell phone that connects to the internet. I'm OK with them having a phone that makes and takes calls ONLY (No texts even) BUT only after they demonstrate maturity and are at least 17 or 18 years old.

This whole phone obsession thing by adults and children is very strange to me.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts in my ad. We have 4 kids, two of them are freshmen in HS and none of them have their own phones despite their constant pleas and of course "everyone else has one" (which unfortunately is pretty much true). I did buy a not-cool older flip phone that we give to them to pass off between the 4 of them for swim and soccer practice and take in case of emergency. I've told them when they can afford the monthly payment we can discuss them getting a phone (and why I'm selling this one). Fortunately for concerned parents there are plenty of ways of locking devices down too.

My apologies for coming off as condescending. I meant no harm. Sounds like you are a like minded parent.
