Need some four wheeler advice: quad

I'm going to have to get a small 4 wheel vehicle for various projects.

Cannot afford a new one, . . . have to buy used.

Would like it to be 4 wheel drive, . . . will go with 2 wheel and a winch.

What I would like to hear from you folks is the "DO NOT BUY" this particular brand for whatever reason you feel is pertinent.

Looking at the ads in my area, . . . there are a couple thousand to choose from: Honda, Polaris, Kawasaki, Suzuki, . . . and many others.

I did get one warning from a friend who is gun shy of Polaris, . . . apparently they have some ignition issues on some models.

Lemme know folks, . . . and thank you for your help.

It needs to carry 275 pounds total (person / equipment / food / etc.)

The Duck has two 570 sportsman's they are great machines. I ran Polaris sleds for a couple decades and they were great machines.
My other son inlaw has a Artic cat 4x4 they have had a few issues with it but over all its been plowing my driveway and haulin deer outta the woods.

I have 2 Polaris 570 4x4 they are awesome machines and run like tanks.
There are some designs I would changed but nothing that would stop me from buying.
The plow hook up is about the easiest on the market drive up hook line winch locks in plow an comes off with one lever no fuss.
If I had it to do over I would spend the extra money for the power steering but not a necessity

Cant help, unless its a "speed machine", my experience is the faster (CRAZY FAST) two wheel drive quads.

I had a Yamaha grizzly 660. Great, trouble free machine, had it 4 years and sold it to the son-in-law and he still has it. I moved up to a gently used Yamaha Rhino 700. I was tired of getting wet and cold while hunting. Yamaha machines are tough to beat, and used ones are out there if you look and wait for a low mileage, one owner machine.
