There are many skills that we might need if things get really bad. I'm sure that most of us have identified the major ones as well as some of the more minor skills needed to get by either in everyday living or survival mode. Unfortunately though, you cannot learn a skill, if you don't know you need it.

So pose your question here, but remember, I'm only looking for the skill set, not the actual knowledge of how to do it. If you know of a link that does a really good job of providing the information, by all means please include it. This is just to get us thinking about what we don't know, or have overlooked.

So, can you...deliver a breech baby goat or calf...(or human baby)?

Can you catch fish? And, I don't mean "fishing" where you sit around all day and just catch a buzz. Can you catch fish like your life depended on it?

A expansion on this, can you use Bush fires as a weapon?? (Don't recommend it tho)

Sorry about the references but we are at the start of bushfire (wildfire) season now, and within 2 weeks locally we have had 2 group level fires, (that means local station has called for lots of trucks) and school holidays are next week...

Can you harness the power of air and or water and use it to drive your processes. Just like it was done in years gone by, before engines and electricity?

Can you re purpose things to make them work...i.e. Water heater being heated and maintained by fire. Hot water being made via running water lines around stove pipes. Using one thing for another purpose. Thats what I'm good at....I'm a jerry riggin mo fo.

I'm not bothering to identify them, my father always said the only good snake is a dead snake. I tend to agree, I have a strict shoot first ask questions later policy with snakes.

Kid you not, got a picture of it somewhere, I'm 5'7" holding it head high and there's still plenty of tail touching the ground. The head was pretty messed up from my wife shooting it several times with a .38 special. She didn't like it in our yard!

Edit: The reason I'm the one holding the snake in the picture is she wouldn't...lol
