I'm currently looking for good seeds to start this years garden from. I will definitely want to know how to save my own seeds moving forward though. You never now what the future holds, you may not be able to surf the internet for seeds in the future. Knowing how to do this will be an invaluable skill. This should provide some great info. Thanks

Can you move this to the new "how to" section?

That is a really good guide.
We have a compost pile and there is always some volunteer plant coming up in it from seeds that were thrown out with bad vegetables, etc. Tomatoes, watermelons, and this year a pumpkin have sprouted. It's kinda fun to see what's going to come up each year.
We don't actually save any seed from plants, but we do keep a large variety in the deep freeze for a couple of years, then plant them and replace with fresh seed.

This is what we do too. We have lots of seeds in the freezer. Some are Hybrid tho. Need the non-hybrid to get viable seed.

Yea, need the "heirloom" variety to get viable seeds from your garden.
