I have a few pictures from prior service, I thought it would be fun to share them
But it seems they are not welcome on the site.
I am sure it is a problem with the server, but perhaps we should get into the 90's .
Why is posting pictures on this site such a problem?

Are you using a phone? I can't post pictures from my phone. But I can if I'm on a computer, which is rare.

Yes, the MS260 is the best smaller saw I think stihl has produced. This thing is unstoppable and it's a great oiler.

Yellow jacket next to a European hornet.
Cicada killers are similar in appearance and usually buzz low to the ground in a group. Usually on dirt, not grass.

Here's a couple of old pictures for you guys. The first one is of my father in Verdun when he was stationed there during Korea. He asked to be sent to the front, guess the Army figured he meant France. The second one is from his stint with the local Sheriff's dept's mounted patrol. He's the one in the center.

The steps on page three are pretty intense to load a picture, I thought I put taptalk on my phone? Checking now.

So you all know
I spent 8 years in field artillery 155mm sp howitzers in FDC and made it to section chief E6
I spent the last 4 years in a M1 tank battalion as a E7 Platoon Sergent
My ETS came up in June of 1991 just after I was informed we were being moved to a SST unit (supply and transport) which is glorified truck drivers (no offense to SST people)
After 12 years in combat arms I decided that was my sign to move on, that and the army was moving in the direction that I needed a 4 year college degree to hold my E7 rank. Take this for what it is worth but a 4 year degree at a college doesn't qualify you for anything that real life doesn't.

Kind of a decent picture of our bivwac, in the desert 60 tons of M1 tank gets really hot in the day time, so in the night time unless you had guard duty everyone slept outside on cots rather than inside the tank that was still 110 degrees, as it takes a lot of time for 120,000 pounds of steel to cool down.
