Anderson Ar-15 80% complete kit

My latest sportsman wharehouse or sportsman guide, has this Anderson kit, for 599, I think. I am unable to post links, phone sucks bad.
But, it is a 18 inch, 1 to 8 twist, complete kit. I missed the carbon 15 Ar for 499, now really thinking hard on this one. Christmastime is coming.
Any thoughts from you peeps that have knowledge?

Maybe a few basic bits of info would be helpful:

Is the lower aluminum or polymer?
Is the upper chambered in .223 or 5.56?
Does the upper come fully assembled (like in the picture) or do you have to assemble it yourself (and buy the necessary tools to do so)?
Does the upper come with iron sights? (From the photo, it looks like not.)

That's it. I was wondering the same thing on the caliber, and it doesn't say anything about the jig needed? Guess I need to call them.

It is not worth the asking price since it's only an 80% lower with it. Requires a jig, and at least a decent drill press and the associated bits and mills to complete the lower. For only a couple hundred more you can buy one complete, assembled, finished lower and ready for the range! Add a couple more hundred to that and get one in 308/7.62x51 complete and ready to fire! JMO

The way they have just the upper priced ($540) that is a good deal.

Midway is selling a similar kit. I think their price is $499. Of course they won't ship here.😞
