Would it be too much to wish that the quakes that have been rumbling down that way would open up a 100 ft wide fissure across Mexico and bring the whole thing to a halt, maybe the 50-100 at the front getting swallowed up? (along with all of the photographers tagging along.)

Because that would require effort, work and introspection.

They do not march on their own government because their own government will turn all Force necessary upon them. That includes jail, torture, shooting and so on. We do not do that stuff. 2000 mile ride... err... March is easy in comparison.
