On 1010 WINS radio last night they led with - "GUN TOTING NEIGHBORS STOP MAN FROM LEAVING HIS HOME --

Then when they said the story -- not one mention of a firearm ?

Online that's called 'click-bait'; TV/Radio it's called a 'tease' (I think) to keep folks tuned in.
The days of 'Film at 11' are long gone.
Lots of things are long gone.
And some really old ideas - like taking care of things yourself - might be coming back.

p.s...love your sig line, btw

People are losing their freaking minds.

And it might just get worse. Wonder how the folks will take another month of sheltering at home.

Here are a few points from Trump's briefing today, all paraphrased from Trump, unless quoted.

~The Social Distancing Guidelines are extended to April 30th

~The 'peak' is expected to hit in two weeks, around Easter

~"Hopefully by June 1st we'll be through the worst of it and can start to relax the restrictions."

~All the (reworked with current data) models show 1.6-2.2M dead if there is no mitigation; with half of US infected.

~With mitigation - and strict compliance with the Social Distancing Guidelines - models show 80-160,000, maybe 200,000 dead.

~"Some hospitals have been hoarding their own ventilators, which is bad, when they're needed so desperately in other areas - and this is a really bad thing because they're hoarding them because they might need them later." (Some things I remember verbatim).

~(Talking about the business loans) "We're taking warrants in these companies, and this will be great for the American taxpayer to have them brought in, they're really great companies, so there's no downside."

**************

Just good news all over.

It especially grates my butt him bitchin about hospitals hoarding their own ventilators on a 'possible future need' when it's the 'possible future need of NYC' that he wants them for and since when can he take from one state to give to another?? Equal distribution of ventilators?? Pfffft.
