With L.A. recommending/demanding that everyone wears masks when out in public, it made me dig out my old N95 masks I have sitting around. I'm not sure how many of you have used those masks, but they're flimsy cotton material, and they're good for maybe a day or two of use, until they're a mess or beyond usability.

Thought I would query for thoughts?

I was watching Chris Weatherman (Angery American) doing a Faceplant Live last week. He kept harping on the fact that any mask short of a Bio rated N95 was basically useless against the COVID-19. It needed to be something like 0.001 micron, which would make it difficult to breathe through, and it would be useless from breath moisture in about a day. But he kept saying if you used anything else, you were just fooling yourself. (paraphrasing his words)

I had these in my preps, Honeywell N99. They have a great rubber seal for the face which fits nice and snug, and replaceable filters.

Everything I'm seeing, their use seems to be preventing someone from touching their face and not spreading it if they are asymptomatic.

With the shortage, it might be moot?

Well, I've been touching my nose about once a minute. Removing the mask each time makes zero sense, so I'll just do the
