Now, I for one don't typically like sites that are over-moderated. I like to see the thread flow, isn't that the whole point of a web forum? Well, recently I have seen some behavior that I don't particularly care for with people mass deleting their threads and posts, brought on by other members replays to their threads.

Because of this I have added a new feature and it is up and running. Test it out, create a new thread, below the thread body add the members you want banned from your thread, It should display to you and the mods who who you chose to ban from replying to your thread. The person banned will get a message when they attempt to submit a reply that they are not allowed to reply.

This allows the mods and admin the chance to try and stay out of the middle of an argument between members.

Your out of your freaking mind Mr Walls. I think the idea is bullfeces. Sure the crybabies will like it. if your going to build a site then value free speech to all.

No offense Mr walls But the Idea just caters to cry babies. If you want to limit the delete everything they posted babies then only allow a 5 minute edit window.

Hell I'll never see another thread here at all Nobody likes me here. :headbang:

While I agree with everything you have said with free speech I also believe in freedom of choice.

Freedom to chose who can respond to your delicate threads. I really don't think too many people will bother to use this feature. I know I wont, I don't really care when people are being critical of my opinion.

If I was concerned in that I wouldn't chose to visit and post in forums.

This is the way we can allow free speech to run its course while allowing OP's a freedom of choice in a socialist kind of way.

I'm with hawgrider on this one, although he's a bit more vocal than I would have been on the subject. I think the idea caters to those who think theirs is the only opinion that matters. Too many valuable opinions may be silenced with this feature. There are plenty of people here that have a wealth of information about certain subjects and to shut them out of threads they may have some input in is just wrong. This will lead to dissension in the ranks and rifts between users that otherwise might not exist. Just my thoughts on the subject.

BTW: I like you hawg, I won't ban you from my threads.

Well hell .... your the first friend I ever had cept maybe Inor and Wheels.

Yes being "vocal " is my downfall. My mother used to call me in from outside like this- "Hey loud mouth asshole its dinner time" I Love Mom:bounce:

I've reconsidered my position on this idea. Its sheer genius. I love the idea. It turns out this feature is needed to keep the babies at bay. Thanks for allowing this option.

Conflict and drama creates clicks. Clicks create money. I might not agree with someone that I don't like, but I will sure as hell click that persons post and read the anger after said post.
