So I bought this Kel-Tec SU16A model and want to replace the cheap plastic front sight. After researching I found the closest iron sight is from an AK 47. Thanks to snail mail, my part arrived today. Here is the part compared to the factory plastic one. I'll update as I progress with the project.

They look quite similar, how much work will be involved in the switch?

I measured the diameters and they are real close. However, the new one is slightly larger. I plan to cut a slice from the bottom between the two tangs then drill and tap for two small 8-32NC Allen head bolts so I can tighten it down. The original one is just epoxied in place.

Have you shot it yet? I kinda want one of these for under the seat in my truck. I already have lots of ammo for it!

Not this one but I have shot one belonging to a friend before I picked mine up.

Worked on this a little today. Cut a section from down the middle, cleaned it up, drilled and tapped for an 8-32NC Allen head bolt. Still gotta re-blue the end of the barrel but this is all I'm doing today.
