DETROIT — Ford Motor is significantly cutting production of its highly profitable F-150 pickup trucks due to an ongoing semiconductor chip shortage plaguing the global automotive industry.

I read the same thing about Fiat slowing production.

Chips need rare earth minerals.... and guess where that comes from.

I always found them fine. They work. Simple. Easy to manage and maintain.

Yup book of matches will set the gap in a pinch and maybe yer ole ladys nail file thingy to clean the points and spare condenser in the glove box good to go.

The parent company of my employer is a semiconductor manufacturer with plants all over the world. Yes, in China, but also in the Philipines, UK, and the US of A.

There are Rare earth mineral deposits in the Black Hills of South Dakota & Wyoming. Might be a good time to buy some stocks.
