Dontcha think the beer would get warm in there?:confused:Its full of ice.... of course the beers will contribute to faster melting ice so you will have to drink fast unless your German and like warm beer.

I've seen another version of this using a bucket, computer fan and ac filters and solar power. Really interesting. I think they are called swamp coolers. Supposed to work better when the humidity is down. Hawg version may be better than this one.

Made one of those back in the early 90's and used it in my Ford ranger that didn't have an air conditioner. Worked well enough to keep comfortable.

Yep remember it well.Guess we just aged ourselves eh!
I was still using block ice in my deer hunting camper it had a ice box fridge. (1958 tour a home made in Flint Mi.) until the late 80's then poof nobody carried block ice anymore.

Be careful where toy use one. Swamp coolers are notorious for breeding rust due to the amount of moisture they produce. They banned them where I used to work because they destroyed lots of our precision tooling.

If you are talented you can use an outdoor swamp cooler to cool water in a heat exchanger and then circulat the water through another heat exchanger inside and avoid the extra humidity indoors that swamp coolers are famous for.

Well, it could be called an evaporative gravity powered heat pump. It operates on a different principal but the result is the same.
