In the former chicken yard, I have an infestation of poison hemlock. Our dog last year wasn’t acting right and it took my DVM DACVIM a couple of weeks to figure out it was the poison hemlock. So this year it has to go.
Slope is too steep and too loose for the tractor. I put my thinking cap on.
A trip to HF, got some air hose, fittings, and a hose reel.
Picked up some metal.
Made a bracket, attached to sprayer along with hose reel and hose.
Except for being a little springy, it looks like it be longs and gets me 75 ft instead of 25.

This gives you an idea of the area to be sprayed. Still tough walking up and down.
But not putting the tractor in there.

I looked for a year and couldn’t find anything decent used tired iron. I ended up picking up a lease return 280 hr Mahindra 1526 shuttle that was used for pulling trailers in from the field. Dealer added a loader and got for 2/3 new price of the tractor.

About a month ago, I used 2–4-D and it worked pretty well.
It’s knee high where I couldn’t reach, so I am stepping it up to Glyphosate. Need a 2nd dose of Glypho on the gravel driveway too.

Shit/invasives ain't going to grow there, that's scrub!!
Solo backpack blower will do it but work. If that hillside , YOU'RE screwed.

I first thought it was a tall version of Queen Anne Lace, 6-8 ft tall. Further research identified it as Poison Hemlock.
The dog that was affected, I had sent him in to flush some quail.
It hillside, but dragging 75 ft of hose is easier than a backpack.
Some of my fields had a bad infestation of thistle. People before me feed niger (for any censors, pronounced Ni-jer ,:) ) seed to the birds. Milestone took care of that.

The green stuff in the foreground is what I am spraying. The back part is wild oats on the back hillside.
