Good stuff, I used to go to silver lake trailering a CJ5, with a built 401, and paddle tires.

I was gonna buy it for 4K a long time ago, but "Bill" wanted to put the 304 back in. Which was good enough for a daily driver, but there is no replacement for cubic displacement

It had a feramiac clutch which also would have been lost along the the tranny.

I "helped" him installing the 401 being a prototype guy

A couple of those guys were damned lucky and just acted like they meant to land upright and continue on.
