I just watched it, I have two cases of the water heaters, GI issue.

I have a heavy duty Mylar sealer that I used for packing parts we built for military contracts.

The little clips of women making MRE components, I do believe were taken at Natick Labs in MA.

It is not a production facility but a research center where they create these meals for the troops.

The process is then turned over to whatever contractor gets the bid to make them.

Everything the soldiers needs from boots to food is developed right there.

It sure as hell looks like the place.

They are on Speen street, been there many times and to the USPFO right next to it for contract stuff.

Last time I was there, I drove out with a 10 ton truck filled with 7.62 NATO in 5 round clips in bandoliers.

Boggles my mind to think of that much ammo that actually made it to its destination. Temptation.

At that time that amount was nothing I suppose.

While MRE's are good, let's not forget the 60's - 80's MCI Meals combat Individual

Beef stew, spagetti with meat balls, and pork and beans - in a can (16 ounce) with canned fruit and korean coffee powder (with creamer and sugar already mixed in ) make a pretty good approximation of the MCI - and you all are ready to eat cold and come ready right off the shelf. Beef, Pork and Chicken in a can are readily available on any wally world shelf.

A couple of new entree's not in the original MCI are corned beef hash and chilli with beans.

If you need to add a starch to help balance out the diet, Uncle Ben's have ready to heat and eat out of the bag rice sides from plain to spanish and all sorts in between.
