I have carried and SOG Aegis for years. Been a pretty good knife. Blade with some serrations toward the base has been very useful. I beat the crap out out of it.

Looking for another EDC knife and open to recommendation. Like to be under $100 if possible.

What are you carrying and why?

Buck selector (discontinued), Buck 110/Schrade Uncle Henry, Newer Schrade folder, Bucklite that's like a 110.

I carry a Case yellow peanut. It cuts rope, slices my apple and cleans my finger nails too. :)

3" USA Gerber Folder usually. It'll gut a buck, and cut a trotline.

The USA Spyderco folder that showed up for $30 is fast becoming a favorite.

It was a add on to the Ontario Bowie and Raider, along with a G-Lock knife, which was nice for $100. Buddy shipped it for free from work.

I wrote my check for $130.01 to mess with his math.

My 3" Buck folder isn't made anymore. My brother swears by his Kershaw Leek.

I had a 3" Kershaw folder 30 years ago.

The lock back broke almost taking my fingers off.

I carry a 3" Gerber folder with a tanto point, strictly as a utility knife.

A funny point but not related here, yesterday I went that 45 miles to a doctors appointment.

On their scale I showed 195 pounds, I weight 178pounds!

That weight was a 45 auto, 4 mags, Smith 642, one speed loader,

plus phone and wallet, oh, yeah also a mini 22 revolver.

You're like old one-armed Clyde in Unforgiven. You don't aim to get killed for lack of shooting back!!!

I EDC a Kershaw locking folder. It is not a top of the line blade, but it does everything I want it to do, and it won't break my heart or my bank account if I lose it. I have lost several over the years.

i dutiful lug a small Kershaw..which means thats why everybody needs. Its not very good at multi tasking. No good unless some thing needs cutting. Wished I had my old Kamp King. It had a large blade for cutting or spreading mustard etc. a screw driver..leateher punch etc. They just dont make knives like that anymore.

This is a stock photo of my EDC Buck. They discontinued it a few years back. It broke my heart. Luckily, I have two. Hopefully, they will last me the rest of my life.
