Diddly Bo time.

RubberDuck and me made a diddly bo yesterday.
It's got a amp jack and volume knob with a antler bridge and nut.
Used the E string from a guitar and tuned it to G. Pretty damn cool!

Never played one before until last night as I'm a 6 string player. RubberDuck wanted something more simple and easier to play 6 strings was to much learning curve for him.

I got to meet Bo in the late 1980s, great guy. I'd seen him play half a dozen times before.

He asked my GF and I to come by after the show and we drank beer and talked about fishing; a real down to earth good human. I've got a signed ticket stub saved from the show. Pre-cell phone days so didn't get any pictures.

This was about the time he did the NIKE commercial with Bo Jackson. NIKE wasn't too terrible back then and sports weren't "woke jokes"

Thanks! Pretty impressive build for a Trucker and a Boiler Operator lol.

The next few we build will better fit and quality. RubberDuck has a nice Jack Daniels tin that will need some better wood for the neck. Prolly go with a round shovel handle or the like on that one.

What are you using for a pick-up and where did you mount it.
Might consider a neck you could bend a little. Kinda get that whammy bar effect going.
Post more vids when you get that sucker figured out.

RubberDuck ordered some pretty inexpensive tuning keys and this stick on pickup. Mounted it inside the can on the lid.

I recognized it as the Zep as soon as I heard it. Physical Graffiti was their last great alblum IMHO.
