So I'm sitting on the deck looking at this little tree in the yard... and damn! It looks like there's fruit on it!
Anybody know what this is? Thanks!

Looks like a persimmon.
Deer will get in a truck and drive 300 miles to eat those.
PO needs to set up a stand about 50 yards off that tree in the fall.
You’ll fill your freezer with venison.

If you have a iPhone you can take a picture then swipe up.
You will get a description that says look up plant and it will then tell you what kind of bush, tree, plant it is.
I use this all the time on the farm.
PS. The fruit will turn a orange color when ripe.

50 yards? The tree is 10 yards off the deck. :thumb: :hungry:

In that case he should have two in the bag before his coffee gets cold. Lol

Don't persimmons have a strong smell to them?

Never noticed that. They are horrifically bitter pucker producers till they get plumb ripe. Very tasty when bright orange. Aint seen one in 60 years lol. Old widow lady across the street would give me and a neighbor pal one for mowing her grass.

The best way to ascertain if those are persimmons is to eat a few of them green. You will soon know if they are persimmons....
