Right now my head is ringing, as if someone hit a switch, or I got boarded by Probie again.

Just above the right eye on the forehead. It comes and goes and lasts for 5 minutes or however long it takes for the spy plane to fly over.

It's winding down now. If it were just me, I wouldn't be as concerned, but the Mrs hears and feels it also at the same time.

I've been a right side sleeper ever since a outdoor brawl at "The Penalty Box" @ Fraser Hockeyland in 1980. It was tough driving a 4 speed Mousestang with my left shoulder dislocated.

Over the last 2 weeks the ringing has started, so it's probably not because of my sleep position

At least it is not voices... That would be bad.

Hmm . . . I have some of the best conversations with them . . .

May God bless,

I haven't shot or been exposed to loud noises this year. We got mad in 1975 when Maple Grove Gun Club mandated ear pro to shoot hand trap across the road from the skeet ranges

Tinnitus is maddening. I know this firsthand. Some have killed themselves because of it.

I read about a man who had a surgeon cut the auditory nerves, rendering him totally deaf. The only sound that remained was the tinnitus. Turns out that what we perceive as sound is actually coming from the brain.

I have had tinnitus for almost 20 years. Sounds just like the test pattern on old broadcast TV after the station signed off for the night. Just constant, doesn't go away.

You’re right. It might ebb and flow and change frequency but it doesn’t go away.

Well don’t leave me out.
40 years of working around industrial pump and drive motors from 15-50 horsepower has gifted me with a faint permanent ringing.

Of course all the rock concerts in my youth, motorcycles, hopped up cars, and shooting big rifles have nothing to do with it.

30 years of working inside a steel engine room with turbines screaming and diesels yammering has left me with almost no hearing in one ear and impaired in the other……… except for the constant white noise sound of tinnitus in both.

I cannot say I've been exposed to loud sounds during my lifetime - a few concerts, shooting with ear protection, ear buds at normal sound levels, motorcycles w/standard pipes...so, I see no reason I've had tinnitus for many years. To make things worse, I am very susceptible to noises when I'm sleeping: every fart wakes me up. So I sleep with earplugs. It makes the sounds SO much louder! There are times I take out the plugs and wind up staying up all night from the "other" noises....My ears are ringing as I'm typing this...and ALL the F*cking time. It really does suck...

Lead guitarist in rock clubs in the late 70's and 80's. When you have to mic the drums to hear them, and the stage floor under you shakes when you hit a chord, it might be a bit loud.

Paying for it now of course. I too have seriously annoying tinnitus, along with a zillion other things LOL. But it was always going to end badly. It's the nature of our existence. Not much I would change then or now. Likely if I quit tobacco and bourbon I could extend my elderly and diminishing Shrek-Troll existence for an extra 2 years more or so. F4ck that noise.

Certain audible tones I cannot hear. Mrs Slippy has a couple that come to mind...

Impaired hearing does come with certain advantages. :bounce:

just above my right eye on the forehead feels like I dropped the gloves and got hit by the guy who docked his boat next to " SeaGull ", the guy who walked on thin ice where I couldn't go.

My ex has been deaf in 1 ear since she was young. She went to an audiologist to get hearing aids. I have had some trouble with hearing her and asking "what", or please repeat etc. When I went into the same audiologist, she said my hearing was perfect, and I had selective hearing with the ex! She told me that the test blew my cover :) Well, perfect other than the tinnitus! :(

Well the snow has melted leaving the toxins to roam in the breeze.

It just may be spring and I do have sinusitis , as I have been reminded by the Father of Nature recently........

Sounds like an excessive amount of head hits maybe. Does beer and whiskey help or hurt it more? Thanks asking on behalf of a friend.

Well now that the swelling has gone done, and I turned the bright light on above the mirror. My White Azz skin has a blue look around the affected area. I'm doctoring it by holding a cold Coors on it until the mountains aren't blue

Got rid of the chiwowow taco dog Tuesday, and no loud yapping, my headache is getting better.

My shooting finger nail was finally healed enough to use to shampoo my hair. It was 9 months ago I caught my right index and middle finger while the garage down was slammed down on me.

I used the opening between the panels shown and didn't get my hand out in time

Not my photo

Maybe shooting may feel normal, as left hand shooting is odd to me.
