I've heard all kinds of things lately. I heard that they were planning a total communications blackout 10 days before the election. So far that one is behind schedule. lol The problem with the internet is you can find anything. You can look up anything and get two completely different answers to your questions. I’m looking over everything and topping off what’s needed (not much). Sunday or Monday I will last minute shop for fresh groceries and I’m preparing to stay home and off the streets. We’re pretty safe here, but the step daughter is police just outside of Baltimore. I’m worried about her. She’s a captain so shouldn’t be on the front line, but now days you never know. Could get ambushed in her own front yard.

I used to take Election Day off, drink and text smack to my lead man. He was a black man and a Democrat. I use past tense because I don’t think he’s a Democrat, anymore.
We got together at a cigar lounge a couple weeks ago. First time we hung out since he went to another airfield. It was enjoyable, but the political discussion was different. The discussion was in depth and not more like football. He didn’t say that he is voting for Trump but he didn’t have to say it.
He seemed a bit concerned about things going violent. My position was that we’re not nutzoid in Southeast Alabama so we have no worries. His position was that it’s like a zombie movie; the disease will spread. He may have a point.

I’m less worried about organic issues than I am about the imported problem. They are here for a reason.

Tons of articles and posts pretty much all saying to expect violence next week. One this morning reports the companies that board up windows and doors in Washington DC are going full bore closing buildings up. Who knows? A lot of this is doom porn. But with the thousands of unvetted military aged illegals inside the country now, I am concerned. The police captain step daughter reports Howard county MD is stepping up area patrols around polling places but isn’t expecting anything else. But they are extremely liberal down there so prepping for chaos goes against the agenda.

I have checked my stuff. Replaced batteries where needed. Listed what I need to buy on the last minute Walmart run. Strategically placed “items” around the house in case of emergency. Tested outside security lites and alarms. I can’t think of anything more to do except make the last run then sit back and enjoy the show. Oh yeah! Need more popcorn.

The Union guys up here are all Republican and won't be voting the Union Party Line, I am former UAW myself and will never support the other side, I don't care what the higher up say, but that is most of the guys around here. I don't think I have seen any harris signs this week, a couple old women with harris bumper stickers, and I know my one niece has drunk the Kool-aide. But You don;t get lots of Dems until Traverse City, and pockets of them up by Petoskey. Though I was up ther yesterday and didn't see many harris signs either.

While voting you can see everything will be quiet around me as everyone running for local office are Republicans. A democrat tried running for sheriff like 10 or so years ago wasn't even a speed bump in the road, no one has tried since.

Was pretty quick and painless while voting, though some guy complained to the Sheriff's office his vote wasn't counted. The deputy showed up to talk to the people at the precinct while I was there. He said the machine kicked his ballot back a couple of times, so he told them his vote wasn't counted. Which is BS, but hey. the Tabulators can be touchy, but they are older, only takes it being a little uneven when you feed it in for it to kick back out. Heck took me 3 tries last year, only once today. Even wrote myself in a vote for U of M trustee. :samflags:

We went in the rain yesterday morning to vote at the local church, in and out in under 10 minutes. All was very quite. Trump wins by a pretty good margin, not nearly as close as they were saying. They couldn't cheat her enough to overcome the margin. Perfect! Now comes the crying and the bellyaching, that will be fun to watch today.

Now is when we should be most alert. Remember Mr. Potato-head and Legs Up are still in office till January and I am not so sure the dems have played all their cards yet. The margin of victory may have made violence in the streets mute for now but the most drastic of measures are still in play. Remember, they vowed never again.

Lets also remember Trump ain't going to keep the ship from sinking, he may rearrange some deck chairs some, close some hatch doors, but the ship is still sinking.
