Why is the Military Planning Drills that simulate battles across the Southwestern United States?
The United States Army has announced they will be conducting a simulated training exercise over the summer in which they plan to simulate battles and insurgent attacks throughout Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado

Move on Folks..Nothing to see here! But But ... everyone loves a good conspiracy theory.
Hawg, that FOUO beside the Unclassified means" for Official Use Only" whoever posted that initially broke security protocol.
Again..the terrain in Texas is much like the terrain we are fighting in today. Its is better to train there than trying to pretend we are in the desert, while driving in the woods of North Carolina.

TX, NM, AZ and CA make up the border to Mexico. Maybe they will scare away the illegals. Just an observation.

Especially out in the Ft Bliss/El Paso region.

The majority of the drills going on here in Texas are in the Austin area. And it's nothing like the mid-east sandbox.. Some are also being done in and around Fort Worth.
Personally, I no longer believe ANYTHING the government says! But that's just me.

There is a special mission set that SF does as well. I can't go into it nor even talk around it, But its small teams and it involves just being out in various places, and waiting alot. It's extremely important and has nothing to do with anything inside the US. This is what I think they are doing based on our current activities overseas.

The upcoming “Jade Helm 15 – Master the Human Domain” ‘domestic’ military drill has created a storm of controversy all over the internet, and for good reason. There are LOTS of questions surrounding the motives and details of the exercise which is doing more than just raising a few eyebrows.
Operation Jade Helm 15 will commence July-15 (until September-15) in the American southwest (as in, all of it) (Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado) and is a ‘domestic’ military training exercise which some say may violate the Posse Comitatus Act (while others say it technically does not).
The ‘drill’ apparently has the military working in acceptance of, or some cooperation with, state-county-local domestic law enforcement agencies and will include Special Operations Command, the special forces of the military services, the 82nd Airborne, elements of Marine Expeditionary Unit(s), and interagency partners, which refers to other departments and agencies of the federal government, including – reportedly – the FBI and DEA.

Sure it is ! Its OK nothing abnormal here...... Move along nothing to see here.
The Special Operations Command for the U.S. Army may be preparing to blend in during its mock engagement of hostile populations in the U.S. Southwest this summer, but first it is going on the offense to counter the claims of “conspiracy theorists” about the true nature of the controversial Jade Helm 15 exercises.
The Army Times reported:
U.S. Army Special Operations Command says that, contrary to reports circulating on conspiracy websites, it has no plans to invade Texas.
Some fringe websites have paraded a PowerPoint presentation, reportedly from USASOC, as evidence of Jade Helm 15, a series of military exercises across California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and Texas. They say it will train the U.S. military to suppress American citizens rebelling in a coming military coup or civil war.
“It’s a training exercise. Just a regular training exercise,” Lastoria said of Jade Helm, which USASOC documentation references as a training exercise in at least one previous year as well.
[...]
The article singled out reports from Infowars and All News PipeLine, among others stressing concern about the preparations for martial law:
Conspiracy websites painted language regarding civilian impact as revealing of the true nature of the mission: to prepare for abducting dissidents from their homes.
Many of the conspiracy sites have focused in on the selection of Texas as a “hostile” territory. To them, a high degree of libertarian support, pro-gun leanings and patriotism make Texas a target. The slides also mark Utah and a pocket in Southern California as “hostile,” while New Mexico is “uncertain (leaning hostile)” and Arizona is “uncertain (leaning friendly).”
The presentation slides say the area was chosen for its large undeveloped tracts of land and low population density. Texas in particular was chosen as the hub of the operation because it has been traditionally military-friendly, easing the impact or alarm the forces’ presence might impose on localities, according to the slides.
Though disputing any ill intent, the Army Times admits that the Jade Helm drill is real, and that soldiers have trained for the approach – “mastering the human domain” – before.

Where I will not put it past the normal everyday joe or jane that serves to blindly follow commands. SPecial Forces are not the same. I and my teammates and those I served with were as ardent patriots and die hard anti big Government people you will ever see. I never believe an article that depicts SF going against the constitution or our people. We Love all our people...even you gay folks because we believe in the proposition of Freedom. As you can tell...I am no fan of homosexuality...but I would die to defend your right to live the way you choose without government intervention...fact!!! I would ask some of you to remember that our service members are not they....our service members are us...my kids...your kids... our kin...we are not mindless idiots. Based on that...I doubt there is a conspiracy that isn't known. ANd if they ever do...well...thats what my 2nd Amendment is for and I will join you willingly.

One of the places this will be going on is Big Springs, TX, just 55 miles from yours truly!!!
Thats a ****ed up report...it is typical of operations overseas. If you want the first time these folks ever encounter a situation like this is in real combat then oppose this. We need training for our guys before they go over. So they use a 1944 SC ruling to apply it to 2015 training actions....That is ****ing lame...if not for good people who help us train I would have been ill prepared for the wars I fought.
Robin Sage..the corner stone of SF missions was only possible by training in a town in NC. That could be easily turned to be unconventional warfare against AMerica...but its ****ing stupid.
Folks...I'm sorry for being so defensive. You each have every right to doubt the Government and the military....but this has been my life for more than 28 years. It hurts that folks doubt us...I Love my military... but you have every right to be skeptical. I will refrain from commenting further. We offer our lives in defense of the constitution...at least I did...freely. It bothers me that you have reason to doubt the sacrifice of my brothers....but you certainly have the right to do so....so continue...

Out of anyone else on this board, or any other internet board for that matter, I trust Old SF Guy before anyone else.
If he says it ain't no big deal, that's good enough for me.

I hope that even just 30% of the military is as educated and willing to disregard unlawful orders as OSFG.
I am not sure that that is true but I do believe that some are.
