I have a better idea ....Stay the hell away from porkys.

Coyote Peterson volunteers to be ‘quilled’ by a porcupine to show viewers a quick and easy way to remove them.

In the event that you or your beloved furry friends ever have to go through the unpleasant experience of having porcupine quills removed, you might think to just pull them out as quickly as you can. While it is important to remove them immediately to prevent them for driving in deeper, Coyote Peterson recommends that you do not just pull them out.

Porcupine quills are actually lined with tiny microscopic barbs that can cause more pain and damage if pulled out incorrectly.

My Ole Blue-tic used to find a porky occasionally. It would cost me about 80 bucks each time for the vet to remove them. I tried it myself the first time I thought I was going to pull the dogs nose off so I gave up and took her to the vet.

A 12 gauge 3" mag #2 shot will remove the Porky's quills from it's body. Just be careful not to damage the pine tree.
