A board, ratchet strap, and a lot of creativity save the day for these folks.

Dan Mengedoht of South Carolina posted a video on Facebook, which depicts a crafty way to get unstuck in a pinch. According to Dan, he got stuck in the mud “hundred of miles from nowhere.”

My dura liner has divider slots in it to section off the bed of my pickup. Many of time I have used those 2x8" 's to put under my tires to get me moving again when stuck in mud or snow. But this trick caught my eye I always have ratchet straps in the back of my truck as well. Will cut some appropriate length pieces to always carry. Looks a hell of a lot easier than jacking the tire up to get boards under the tires.

Not a bad idea at all. Not the first I'd use, but in a pinch it's something good to know.
We also have a 2 wheel drive, so, yeah, it's been stuck before.
