Every where a chick chick...1718

They sure do poop a lot!! But they're so damn cute I can overlook the lack of potty training.
They got here yesterday. 3 days old.

I'll post pic's from time to time as they grow up.
This picture has our buddy Rick's chicks too.
Ours are the Buff Orpingtons and the Pearl White Leghorns.
One of our neighbors told us he's been selling grown pairs (Hen and Rooster)for $25-35 dollars.
Eggs for $2 a dozen.

We just got some more too. Hopefully we won't have to buy any and can start hatching them here. We got 5 black sex link and 3 more Rhode Island reds. The naked neck adult in there is blind, so we are letting her *bond* with the babies.

I can honestly say, out of all of our animals, the chickens are my favorite.

Can't complain. What about you and yours? How is your horse doing?
Our old barrel racer (25 yrs) is probably going to have to be put down.
He's lost a lot of weight in the past year, and we can't get him to gain it back.
That's life on the farm.

Note my signature picture... we've had 4 Mules. As with any animal, (or kid) what you put into it is what you'll get out of it.

I'm not sure if we are going to keep the baby honestly. My wife is actually talking about selling the horse and donkey when we move. She is getting transferred to corporate (most likely) up in Ohio in the summer and as it is, we can never go on vacation because of her animals. Really, nothing more than an overnight trip.
