Hey folks, since I'm going to semi retire I have decided that once we finally settle in at our new place (haven't found it yet but it's not going to be in the Freakin' desert) I want to open a small welding shop, nothing major just trailer repair and such and am going to specialize in Ornamental Iron ( burglar bars, fences, gates and such and wanted to show a piece of my work I did about 10 years ago for the Mrs. Looking for some input and any ideas you may have!! What do you think, reckon I can make a buck or two so we don't starve??? 1722
That is cool Rep!
If we can ever sell our damn house in MN, I may have some work for you when we get to building our new place in AZ. I am going to have a courtyard between the house and garage. I am planning a short brick wall around it, maybe 2-3 feet high with some ironwork above that.
I'll give you a shout if we ever get that far.

Great work. My pops was a great welder and did a lot of fencing work around our house when I was a kid. He's 75 now and building a big gazebo out of iron with a fish pond and bridge. I think you'll do just fine supplimenting your income.

Hey, Rep, . . . if I ever move down to Big Spring (my brother lives there), . . . maybe we could hook up on a project or two.
Had to laugh when I first saw your post, . . . first ornamental ironwork I've seen worth 2 cents, . . . in maybe 30 years. Not bragging, . . . but my first "factory" job was doing that very thing. I can tell, . . . you do good work.
Just throwin in a picture of my last piece (first one in a bunch of years), . . . for my wife, . . . going up and down the new stairs I put in for her also.
May God bless,
Dwight
