Come across this video an it got me thinking about my E.D.C. and what I have seen others carry.
Of course many of us carry different on working hours then off hours.
Or for large groups or events.
Most days work or not I have
XDS 45 spare mag. pocket knife and a multi tool card in my wallet.
This changes on weekends or for events.
I feel the guy in the video is well above the excessive line but that is just my opinion. I personally wouldn't want all that weight daily now for a event outing like I had with the family downtown at the tree lighting this would be acceptable to me.
Here is my EDC spare mag got left home today.
I drive truck an only stop a few times a day outside of customers I feel comfortable with 7rnds most days only when I head to Detroit area do I make sure I have extra.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160108/036d4cc405ad39f8ab2807d9d6843dc3.jpg

That XD shoots nice ! And hey I recognize that pocket knife LOL

Well.... I used to carry a lot. Full size buck style knife, AA mag light in a leather holster, Zippo, Pager, cell phone, M&P .40C Until I could keep my freakin pants off the ground.

So I am at a minimalist stage right now after my back injury...

So currently its the P3AT, Sometimes a spare mag, cell phone, old timer Pocket knife and a bic lighter. Depending on the area traveled the hand gun gets bigger and bigger depending on the area.

Those wallet muti tools are cool. Ive used that a couple times already.

Holy crap the guy in the video needs a 3/4 ton truck to haul all that stuff LOL

I have two routines -- for simple, quick trips up to the corner for milk and bread, etc., I go minimal -- Either my SIG P238 (with pocket holster) in shorts weather or for colder months, my Shield 40 -- also pocket holster. No extra mags. I also carry my SOG Twitch XL.

For trips with any distance -- like into Richmond (some 30 miles away), I grab my fully equipped GHB, which has too much stuff to list here but does have extra mags and bigger knives. It is set up to back carry if for some reason my car became unusable (EMP, etc.).

Maybe I will mess around today and take some pics of all this stuff. A lot of thought has gone into it over a couple of years -- and even today it is still a work in progress as I might tweak it some.

Nice..
I need to get one of those bags together.
I have a long term B.o.b. an a smaller 72hr B.o.b. that doubles as my all day hunt bag.

I have a Buck 119 in my GHB. I always carry at least one folder on my person. My go to for the last couple years has been a Kershaw.

When I am in MN, I usually either have a Beretta 92 or a Springfield XD in .45 (identical to RubberDuck's) in the console of my truck, sometimes on my person.

I like the finger groves on that one. Perfet for my arthritic hands to hang on too. What is the one thing ? Did it come with a church key?

Oh I see thats the multi tool...

I always carry a Gerber clutch and a mini maglite single AAA LED. The gerber clutch is a miniature multi tool like a Leatherman. It has the pliers a knife and file plus some others. It is sharp and heavy. The light is a high output led for a small light. I had the coast brand light but it was low output and it broke after a while. The mags are $10 on amazon or they now sell them on amazon. I used to also carry a black flip open gerber blade and a lighter, but stopped. Gotta pick up more. In my car kit there are 5 ways to make fire so i figure why bother. I always break them.

I also started carryi6a flash drive with my files and operating systems like the ultimate boot cd and kali linux. I had a 16 gigabyte usb 3.0 drive but my dog got a hold of it and she won't tell me what she did with it. I now have a 64 gigabyte usb 3.0 pny drive. I need to put the files over to that one soon.

Ark's EDC

Spyderco PM2. A quality blade for everything including last ditch defense.

Streamlight Stylus Pro. Issued to me by work it's a great little 2 AAA light. Not tactical at all but it more than gets the job done.

Bic lighter. Cause I always like to carry fire.

Keys and wallet. To open doors, start cars and buy shit. Keychain has 10 foot of 550 cobra weaved around ~ 25 foot of #12 bankline.

XD9 or LCP depending on what I'm wearing.

Smartphone. Just cause..

All this is always on me except the gun when I'm at work. We're fish in a barrel up there.

Lately I've been carrying my S&W M36 over my Kimber 1911 because I don't want to throw out my back again. Although a handgun is not part of my EDC because I can't carry to work. However if I'm not working there's a handgun and at least one reload on me when I'm out and about. As for the rest of my EDC:
Benchmade 943 (replaced my SOG Flash II)
Gerber Multi-Tool (one of the early ones without locking blades)
wallet
iPhone 6
Joytech Ego ONE e-cigarette (haven't had a real cigarette since September 18th)
Bic lighter

I do not have a GHB although I should. It's one of those things I've been meaning to put together but just keeps getting back burnered. Maybe 2016 is the year for that.

My EDC, . . . gun and knife. Mostly a commander size 1911 and one mag (total 17 rounds) and an "old timer" pocket knife.

If they don't get me through or out, . . . too bad !

Mostly, . . . I just avoid trouble, . . . stay out of the troublesome areas, . . . keep head on a swivel. Actually do have a neck ache at times after being out in the shopping areas I sometimes have to be in for one inexcuseable reason or another.

May God bless,
Dwight
