Sure would be nice to save whats left of my ears. Unfortunately too many hoops to jump through still for me.

The cost is still hard to swallow too. Just can't justify it. Sure would be cool though

I have never used a can so all the info I have is second hand at best. I see they have 338 cans. I have read that cans effect long range shooting and make the calculations even harder for first round hits.

On most cans I have read lots of info that says it affects the round an the reliability of the weapon in sustained use . He talks about that in this video an supposedly these Oss cans correct the problem.
For my purposes I would be happy with a oil filter suppressor but even that adapter is stupid priced

Agreed, not worth the money to me. If it is being used for hearing protection at shorter distance I guess there is no issue. Even if there were no hoops to jump through high end ear plugs and muffs are still way cheeper and the way I will go.

Did anyone see the new Ruger can for (I think) .17 & .22 caliber? I don't know if they make any for larger calibers yet. They were priced at or about $ 450.00 that's not too awful bad, if they work.

How many of us have checked the regs on hunting with a can? I will admit I have not but have heard of at least 1 state where you can not.

I did a quick search. I looked at exactly 1 site. They said check with your state as laws change frequently. They showed 37 states allowing hunting with cans.

I know you did a quick search so I'll just expound upon this with my quick search- I am allowed to hunt small game and predators with a can but not birds or big game. Basically if I need a tag for it- its no can allowed. So just be careful and don't assume that it's a blanket ok or not ok to hunt with a can.
If that made sense.

Good point. The bigest takeaway I got in my 30 seconds of digging was that these rules are changing maby not year to year but changing none the less. It would suck to check the regs and spend the time and cash to get a can only to have the regs change and loose the use of you can before you ever hit the field with it.
