Black label beam is good for the price..
Its my first love for bourbon about 30 some years ago. I still like to reminisce occasionally.
My favorite bourbons today are Wild Turkey products
Rebel reserve, Buffalo trace. All time drinking pleasure though to date is Wild Turkey Forgiven.
One of our members here "Hag" and his mother make it down in Kentucky. Hag has a great story of how "Forgiven" came to be. His Mom is the inventor of that choice top shelf bourbon and rye mix.

LMAO! Yeah the whole hobby thing was a line of shit.
I'm a professional drinker hahaha.
And as a matter of fact I did buy a 5th of the old Forrester a few days ago and drank most of it on a rock. The funny part is...
If you look up a thread called "Feel the Bern" here
http://theoutdoortradingpost.com/showthread.php?4313-Feel-the-Bern!&p=46427&viewfull=1#post46427
where me and my son inlaws played a prank on OTP we were drinking old Forrester and some other booze the night we were raising hell here. But it was a while ago and all of us forgot we had demolished a bottle of it and some others that nite.
So yes we had already tried it and it went down good we drank it straight up that nite. I did try a couple drinks of of in the last couple days with a splash of coke and it was good. I drank most of the bottle on the rock and enjoyed it. But in the same price range there are some others I like better.
Will I buy it again ? Yup more than likely.
I will be honast though I do prefer Rebel Reserve and buffalo trace and wild turkey 81 proof over the old Forrester.
I would rate all I listed above and the old forrester very close in price range but each has its own unique flavor. God bless America and all the great distilleries
and flavors we have to choose from.

Used to buy alot of Weller but dont care alot for it any more. I drank Jack for a long time till I got with a woman who drank as much as me and I couldnt afford it for two, god damn.

The link shows the old Forrester and the date posted.
You dont have to read the thread the point is we had tried it back then and had forgot about it.
Buffalo is in the 25 dollar range. Rebel Reserve is in the 24 dollar range. Wild Turkey 81 proof is in the 22 dollar range.

Beaudreaux and Thibedeaux were sitting on the porch and were talking.Beaudreax said that while Thibedeaux was down in Bayou Labatre fishing for red fish that he went to see Marie Labeuax, and she gave him a gallon of moonshine. He said he brought it home and drank the whole gallon while Thibedeaux was off fishing. Thibedeax was a little miffed at Beaudreaux for not saving him some of that free moo shine so he asked Beaudreax how that shine tastes. Beaudreax said it was Just Right. Thibedeaux asked, what do you mean just right? Beaudreax replied if it was any better she wouldnt have give it to me, and if it was any worse I couldnt drink it.

The flavor has changed significantly since then. This is a good way to turn cheap booze into a little more quality smoother drink.
I am going to experiment with some Black Velvet and maybe some platinum vodka.

Few things elicit feelings of Americana quite like a glass of Bourbon. The spirit came to be in the late 1700’s and while the true inventor is unknown, https://www.outdoorhub.com/reviews/2018/05/01/best-bourbons-under-50/

Jack And Coke Popsicles Are Boozy Popsicles For Adults
While I’m not one for turning down any sweet treats, my hands-down favorite is popsicles — specifically the kind I can make myself. While I usually try to keep them healthy, it gets pretty hard to resist “adulting” them up a bit. Sure, a cocktail is nice at the end of a long day, but a frozen one? Seriously, I’m in.
First things first, you’re going to need popsicle molds and wooden sticks if your molds don’t include a top. A quick search on Amazon brings up all the molds your popsicle-loving heart desires.

Here’s a quick history lesson on the story behind how Jack Daniel’s famous Tennessee whiskey was originated.
The practice of making whiskey appears universal to human civilization, it is engrained in the social, political and cultural fabric of virtually every region. Distilling was brought to Trans-Appalachia in the late 1700’s, by the Scots, Irish and Welsh settlers who found the region theirs, if they could work it. As they carved out homesteads, farms, towns and communities, the art of distilling found itself somewhere within those top priorities. Whiskey, then as now, was the medium of community and even “friendly” competition.

" As such, the company celebrates another tradition by refusing to relocate from where Jack Daniel founded his distillery: Monroe county, which remains legally a dry jurisdiction. Liquor can be made, yet not sold or consumed within county limits. In that, more than perhaps anything else, Jack Daniel’s is an icon of the American spirit: an enterprise where different cultures cooperate and prove American initiative is rarely idle when it comes to circumventing restrictive legislation. "
I see this differently, as a phuckin cop out, spend your money where people have the same beliefs. I recently quit going to a store after 5 years or more because of a 30-30 sign. Plus can we say hypocrite much? We will take your money for making it but you cant sell it. FTW. You have to stand up for what you believe, Jack daniels doesnt.

They use a mountain spring located nowhere else in the world so not exactly a pull up and move operation.
Also the town they are in is so small you can smell a fart on both ends of town so product sales in that county do not outweigh world wide sales.
At the distillery they do sell Jack Daniels bottles that just happen to have alcohol in them.
Your view on this matter is slightly blurred maybe you are a swill Jim Beam fan

Here in Texas the sign which tells whether or not a LTC (license to carry) is legal or welcome is called a 30-06 sign because that is the number of the state law concerning it. A 30-07 sign is the same thing except for open carry. I see a 30-06 sign, I walk away. They don't need my money!!!!!!!!!! Hope that explains the signs.

Do all alcoholic drinks contain sugar?
Beer: While this beverage does contain a lot of sugar, it's in the form of maltose (not fructose) which our bodies can metabolise just fine. ... Spirits: Dry spirits like gin, vodka and whiskey are very low in fructose. Wine: Believe it or not but wine contains very minimal amounts of fructose.
