Aren't you a little old for that head bangin stuff?

Awww hell no. I have seen them all, I remember at a Limp Biskit concert I was bangin my head and looked beside me at like a 14 year old, we paused and looked at each other and were like WTF. And continued on, I was probably the oldest one there.

If any kind of rock band came to memphis in the 90's I was there for all of them.

sigmund
06-30-2018, 07:26 PM
I also saw David Allen Coe at the casinos sometime in the 2000's. I ended up getting kicked out later in the night. It was just like the movies, small dude flanked by two huge dudes with earpieces. " I want you out of my casino right now" Assholes.

hawgrider
06-30-2018, 07:54 PM
Coe would be cool.

sigmund
06-30-2018, 08:10 PM
He was using a walker to get out with two people beside him, he sat on a stool the whole show. His son was playing guitar for him. He kicked a few people out of the show while it was going on.

Its funny cause I had just said I wish I could see him before he quit and a little while later he showed up at casinos.

Those free drinks add up though at the end of the night.

You could buy six packs in a bucket with ice and go into the show with them, plastic bottles.

I'm 7 days dry no withdrawals or thoughts of when my next drink is so after 58 years I'm still not an alcoholic.

So "drinking is a hobby" not a life style to me.

https://content.artofmanliness.com/uploads/2018/08/tequila-640x427.jpg

A Man’s Primer on Tequila

While tequila tends to have a poor reputation here in the States — often serving as the cheap shot of choice for inebriation-minded college students — in Mexico, it’s a cultural tradition that harkens back to centuries of craftsmanship. While some liquors’ origins are muddy or disputed, tequila is unquestionably a Mexican spirit.

While in shot form tequila is usually served with salt and lime to mitigate the bite and burn of cheap liquor, in its native home it’s usually served neat in a tall shot glass, and meant to be sipped.

If you have an unfortunate history with tequila, it’s time you gave the spirit another chance and learned how to not only drink it the right way, but buy the right product so that you aren’t just writing off the whole category based on the swill that got you drunk in your earlier years.

Before getting into some of those guidelines though,

Since the intro to Barleywine beer by Inor and the Killer Penguin I have been on the hunt for one to match it that is available here in MI not many out there andI have sampled at least a dozen. So far Back burner is a very close second and this one here is a tie for 3rd.
Good beer on a cold night not super heavy instant flavor great color
10% packs a good buzz on empty stomach i might go pick up the few they had left just read it was a 20th brew

Gun Craft Beer launched four flavors in 2017. (Photo: Gun Craft Beer)

Lou Selvaggio and his brother, Dave, know two things well: craft beer and guns. So it’s no surprise the men poured those passions into a joint business venture unlike anything the craft beer industry has ever seen before.

Gun Craft Beer launched its four flagship brews last year in Itasca, Illinois — a suburb 27 miles northwest of Chicago — from the taps of the Church Street Brewing Company, a family-owned operation with a fondness for European-inspired ales and lagers.

“What do we want this beer to be about? It’s about the freedom we have in this country and our love of this freedom and our love of this country,” Lou Selvaggio told Guns.com. https://www.guns.com/news/2019/01/03/gun-craft-beer-inspired-by-guns-brewed-by-freedom

I like it, but im still not done buffalo trail or woodford yet. takes me a long time to empty a bottle from being a very very lightweight and I only like a drink when I am in the mood to harass people or to relax

Bell's releases Hopslam 2019

Hopslam is out in the world, and on the way to a tap or can near you starting this week. One of the most popular speciality releases from Bell's Brewery, Hopslam is a beer to certainly enjoy, but not to take lightly.

Hopslam is a Double India Pale Ale beer, which means it not only is going to have a big body, tons of aroma and flavor, and yes, a huge kick of hops.

Hopslam this year clocks in at 10.0% ABV, https://www.mlive.com/expo/life-and-culture/g66l-2019/01/af8979ecff4429/bells-releases-hopslam-2019.html

Buffalo Trace Distillery is putting an original fermenter back in action after a century of neglect, and before too long we’ll be able to sample the whiskey that results.

The fermenter was dubbed “Bourbon Pompei” after its discovery in 2016 during renovations to the O.F.C. building. The fermenter, one of several built on the banks of the Kentucky River by founder Colonel E.H. Taylor, probably between 1869 and 1873. https://www.breachbangclear.com/bourbon-pompeii-buffalo-trace/

Coors Light, Budweiser, And Several Other Beers Contain An Ingredient Used In Weed Killer, Study Says

Throwing back a cold beer after a long day of work or curling up with a glass of wine on the weekend is a normal part of life for many people, but this recent news may have you rethinking that habit.

A new study by the non-profit grassroots advocacy group U.S. PIRG found that about 19 major beer and wine brands may sell products that contain a pesticide called glyphosate. Grub Street notes the pesticide is one of the same ingredients used in the weed killer Roundup.

The brands that might contain glyphosate include Coors Light, Heineken, Stella Artois, Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada, Sutter Home Merlot, and Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon.

USA Today reached out to some of the brands listed in the study for comment, and while some acknowledged that their products may contain trace amounts of the pesticide, other companies disputed the results of the study.

According to the National Pesticide Information Center, when high doses of glyphosate have been administered to laboratory animals in the past, the pesticide had carcinogenic potential. It has also led to developmental and reproductive risks in rats.

Our friend Black Dog roasts the coffee for their seasonal Black Dog Stout. It comes out around Christmas. I always make sure I pick up a 6 pack of that.
