Like both of those.... I went to Jamaica about 6 Years ago... A bottle of Tortuga was part of my Carry-on Luggage....
Some leaked out though..... No really....
My theory is that the bottling process takes place at sea level.... Plane pressurized cabins are pressurized to 5000 feet (IIRC) so the pressure inside of the bottle (laying on its side) was greater than ambient.
Evidently their sealing process is/was not that robust...
Still was able to drink about 7/8 of the bottle.

TASTY! but Pyrat is better in my opinion.

As for my favorite rums.... Top of 205 Forum page.

You know I revisited PBR (PBR was my dads beer when I was a kid) after a 40 years of not touching it and It was pretty darn refreshing and would make a good working beer in the summer. But I was shocked at the Micro brew price of a PBR 6 pak It was durn near 10 bucks for 6 beers:shocked: Id drink more of it if the price came down a couple bucks.

Buffalo Trace Distillery is putting an original fermenter back in action after a century of neglect, and before too long we’ll be able to sample the whiskey that results.

The fermenter was dubbed “Bourbon Pompei” after its discovery in 2016 during renovations to the O.F.C. building. Last night I had one 3 finger pour of Rebel Yell Bourbon and it was great. Today, I decided to put some chili on the stove and have me a few or more strong pulls of Rebel Yell.

On my second and the verdict is in; Excellent Bourbon Whisky! Price is great and while I do not like it as much as my go to bourbon, Coopers Craft, it dang sure is worth repeating again and again!

Alcohol home delivery possible in proposed legislation to help Michigan bars and restaurants hurt by coronavirus


Proposed liquor law changes include:

Bars and restaurants may indefinitely package and sell mixed drinks or liquor for to-go customers in “sealable" containers up to a gallon in size. No straw holes are allowed. Currently, to-go sales of beer and wine are allowed.
Bars and restaurants would also be able to home-deliver mixed drinks or liquor.
“Social districts,” something similar to Bourbon Street in New Orleans, could be created by local governments in which businesses would sell beer, wine and alcohol to patrons able to drink it anywhere within a designated common area.
Bars and restaurants that currently have outdoor seating may expand that seating or add outdoor bars without permission of local government or the Liquor Control Commission. This exception would be allowed through Dec. 31, 2021.
Bars and restaurants may purchase alcohol directly from other licensed alcohol retailers, such as grocers or party stores, rather than being limited to only wholesale purchases from distributors. This exception would be allowed through Dec. 31, 2021.
Bar and restaurant liquor purchases from the state would be discounted by 30% until Dec. 31, 2021. The current discount is 17%.

i also copy the old fashion a bit with orange peel, i dapped some cheap vodka and set it to flame
after the peaches are done i put them and the orange peel in glass jar with with makers mark bourbon over night

not sure if this a real cocktail but i am digging it
i like peaches so it what gave me the idea and the peel added something, kind like a rustic flavor


because i am a light weight , i got slight buzzed from eating the peaches

think i might been better to use a smooth brandy /a semi sweet white wine in replace of the bourbon

tried it again but a smaller batch, 1-1/4 cup worth
half a peach roasted in my toaster oven with a some sugar rubbed on the top part of the peach which is broiled for about 5 or so minutes then i turn it to 400 for 10 minutes
put about 1cup worth brandy again over night

today i mixed brandy/peach into a glass with about 1/2 cup of table top white wine

i fine it very refreshing like a sangria with 1 issue
the brandy is smooth but i forgot how sweet it can be
if i was to make this again i would add less sugar to the peaches

the brandy i use is by "the christian brothers" and the wine was by barefoot or yellowtail, i dont recall which one of them it was

2 kool-aid packages (yellow lemonade)
Fifth of wild turkey American honey
Mix the 2 packs of lemonade in a half gallon of water... DO NOT ADD SUGAR !!! Put in the fridge and let it get cold. Put the fifth of American honey in the freezer and let it get cold.. mix the fifth of honey with the half gallon of lemonade in a tea pitcher or something and stir....serve over ice. Most simple and refreshing adult beverage for a hot summertime day. Named after my hometown lolol
