I do it thru youtube. I created a youtube account. Then I upload the video to youtube and then post the link here. You can keep other videos you may have on youtube private so that people can't look at them from a video you posted here that you mark public. The videos we shot over the weekend of the tannerite and the Mr Ed shaving cream shotgun blast were uploaded to a youtube account. Its free to make the account.

Thanks Hawg! I didn't know if I had to go that route or if I could just post it straight from the phone like pictures. Appreciate the help buddy!

When you touch reply or new post, that window opens. At the bottom should be a camera, paperclip, smiley, "IMG", & "URL". Touch the camera and it will bring up the phone's picture / video collection. (I hope). You should be able to load it from there. Good luck.

Are you using the hyperlink button in the post window, or the video button?
I'm on pc now, I would have to find my phone and see how it comes up.

Youtube is the best way to post a video on any vBulletin forum.

what I still don't understand is when doing that it shows up as a vid to other tap users but only as a link to desktop users.RWalls figured it out a fews weeks ago when I asked the youtube problem question. Its a youtube mobile phone issue. I found the work around for the problem by manually changeing the link to embed. Its more work but it is a work around for the problem. When you grab the link and put it in the vid icon on our forum board manually change the link just like the suggestion in the vid icon button window says when the dialog box opens up basically it reads like this-
http:// www .youtube .com /watch?v=xxxxxxx but with no spaces
hawgrider

Then add tapatalk into the mix and there is the issue of its shows up here but not there...
To many chefs spoil the pot. To many different softwares trying to play nice. Its kind like Denton when he doesnt get his way.
Im still shocked at cool hand lukes behavior here this morning at 4 am geesh and they say we are the trailer trash punks. Well ok then Im ok with that. There is no life like low life... oh wait wrong thread nevermind.

It shows up as the video in Tapatalk, but on a pc it is the link for a mobile upload, as Hawg mentioned in an earlier post.

Thanks. I used this to post it
http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160602/a16f203aff0929fcda1e8a3aa4a3d876.jpg
The url tag. I might be out of options but that's OK. When I get the tag from YouTube it looks like this:
http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160602/a261428ae286cb24870457c16f135997.jpg
I always use the copy link option. The tapatalk option is weird. It takes you through a bunch of menus.

Did you see how the link showed up in my reply to you?
https://youtu.be/ExukCRD7gN0
O.K Here it is as text, not a link, so you should be able to see it. The period in the middle configures the video for a mobile device. That is what Hawg was talking about.

That's what I always do as well. Weird that it won't show for pc. I'm sure we'll figure it out one day.

Just a link. Not embedded. Because of the url tags and the way you tube changes the string on a mobile phone.

TJCYes see how the string is different from this -
PC version- http:// www. youtube. com/watch?v=
I put spaces in just so you can see it. This string would have no spaces and then have the youtube vid number after the=
Then it would be embedded for PC's

When I typed out my reply, the URL was in text. When it posted, I guess vBulletin turned it back into a link. D'oh!

Yep thats exactly what happens. I get around that by hitting ok on the vid icon window then change the string in the regular post window thats why my vids show up whether Im on my phone or a laptop. I do t use tapatalk much I just can't get used to it.

My work around makes the vid embed and show up on a phone or PC but I belive now tapatalk will show it as a link. Its the clash of the softwares between you tube, tapatalk and VBulletin.

Thanks. I'll just keep on keeping on for now. Too much hassle to make it show up for non tap users. I'll just post a short description like I've been doing in UPOTD.

Should look just like this but all next to each other no spaces in between.
https :// www. youtube. com/watch?v= C4RiNvZdReg[ /VIDEO]
When you do that you will get this except in tapatalk which may now just show a link but if you view this from a PC or a phone without tapatalk the vid will be embedded.
