Not really survival gear unless keeping your mix drink cold means tolerating family members you despise.
That being said Picked up a Ozark Trail double walled mug from Walmart
$10 here is a pichttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160708/fdce293388e2be9f8519d5e6f242aa4d.jpg
has a sip lid that you can pinch a straw through.
So a frien of mine turned me on to it as he as three different ones
The Yeti like $30ishhttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160708/6472c62c773aeb7c9016fdc4bb08d2d7.jpg
and the Arctic like $25ish
http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160708/33dd564ebcc07b0ba384a41e8edf89c3.jpg
and the one I have he put Ice in all three left on counter over night 70 degrees an they all performed identically.
So I bought the $10 one an very happy with it.

I have a Yeti Cup. I love it. Helps a lot when outside temps are consistently above 100 F.

With Yeti you're really paying for the label anyways. The only thing I like about them is that SOME of their products are still made in the USA.

I'm new to the insulated cup business.
Was there still ice in the morning?
I saw a Facebook thread showing a yeti with ice on it, that had been inside a truck fire?

I have left a yeti in my truck all day with iced tea. 95 degree NE Texas weather and I had a cool drink that afternoon for the drive home.

Second that. Today Son 2 arrived for the weekend. He helped me do some chores for about 4 hours while his Suburban was locked up tight in the sun. The water in His Yeti cup was cold a few minutes ago. Impressive

I hate the auto correct on smart phones. I have learned to read again what I have typed. The auto correct can make for some interesting interpretations, and sometimes embarrassing comments.

Then one day I stepped on it and the bottom popped of ----- "It's hollow" ?

I had a started can of - 3M double expanding foam in the truck -- Just for shits & giggles -- I filled the cavity - glued the bottom back on --- and low and behold -- coffee didnt cool off as fast ?

Between the front seats I kept a 18" X 20" cooler - the ice would melt every day ( over the trans ) -- then I glued a 2" thick scrap chunk of pink foam insulation under it - then the ice would last the whole day ----

Sooooo - I drilled a 1" hole in the bottom --- yep -- hollow ---- filled that with foam ---- then my ice kept for 3 times longer -- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v667/RICEKILA/Smillies/8199d256.gif

I found them in the Sporting goods/camping aisles, they weren't in the same area you'd look for mugs.

Coastie Son swears by yeti cups. It withstands the bouncing around on his pursuit boat and keeps cold drinks down on the Mexican border.

Now that his happy ass just moved to Alaska, let's see if they keep coffee hot, too.

YETI Tumbler vs. Walmart’s Ozark Trail Tumbler

Okay, Yeti fans, don’t freak out on me over this one.

First off, I will readily admit to being the proud owner of a YETI tumbler. I have used the cup for coffee, ice water, and certainly a few ice cold brews.

Finally got my hands on one of these Ozark Trail cups from Walmart. After two days of using it for both cold drinks and coffee I'm very impressed! I gave just under 10 bucks for it. Heading back to buy a bunch more to give out as Christmas presents.
