Hello,

I'm new to this sort of thing, so please be gentle with me!

Is this a breath of fresh air, or what?

Nice to see some friends here!

Your almost begging them not to be gentle by saying that.

But welcome from Michigan, remind me to send you some snow this winter.

LOL, Inor didn't tell me about the bar, Thank you once again for keeping me informed Mrs. Inor!

BTW how did the sausages turn out?

Nice to see you!

They came out better than I even hoped they would. The smoker is a bit on the hot side for the first hour or two. About the lowest I could get it was about 170. But it seemed to do a nice job anyway.

I just put a "prep of the day" post here where I mentioned them and some adjustments I made to the recipe this time.

That is just too cool!

I got the Bass Pro flyer today and saw they had both propane and electric smokers and thought about you... Now I'm trying to talk myself into one!

Thanks for the heads up here, anything RPD puts his stamp of approval on has to be good to go!

I was surprised at how little propane it burns. I started with a 17# cylinder that was about half full. I broke in the smoker (burning it on high for about two hours), then smoked some chops for about 2 1/2 hours. Then Monday I burned it on low for a total of 5 hours and there was still enough gas in the cylinder for Mrs Inor to use it on her camp stove yesterday for pressure canning a bunch of split pea soup. And there is still a little bit of gas left!
