that's really a good deal if you look at it just from millage wise
8k miles on massive truck is far from bad seeing they are meant to go over 100k easy even its automatic tran's then add the size of the whole thing. good for camping to even the obamalypse.
and when its about time to kiss it good bye the scrape from the box end (if its all metal ) can be a nice penny after adding frame etc etc

bad side is that it will be a arm and leg for repairs and a auto tranny cost more to repair then a standard and autos don't last as long.
then again I don't see people taken this beast out everyday to put wear and tear on it.
I would take this out everyday and get tons of bumper stickers.

Not bad, but even as a BOV you might have problems registering it in your state. Military vehicles are exempt from EPA emissions standards, but suddenly come under that banner when sold. Being KY this thing probably is not registered or with a legitimate title, since former military vehicles are hard to register here.

This might not seem like a huge issue, but you might be bugging out for a regional issue while other states are unaffected.

On the other hand, if the above is not an issue for you (or know the red tape required to get around it) this could be a good, tough, vehicle to use.

Those things are a nightmare to register here in KY (looks like it is being sold from Louisville, KY), I looked into it when the old HMMWV's were being sold. Essentially, unless you have a LARGE farm or the like, it is going to be a 'Garage Queen' and little more.
