Its a carbureted 258 AMC. I like the old I6 for simplicity and I get 15mpg out of it.

With the POC Carter BBD 2 barrel... Aisin or Peugeot Tranny.

If you put an amc 304 gear on a 292 chevy distributor it will work in an AMC so I'm running an HEI ignition with an old autolite 2100 2 barrel with a torqueflite 999 trans.

Yeah, I just went out and took them. I gotta head to town in a few. I'll post them when I get back. Hoping it's nothing costly, but then again, if it is the transmission, the dealership will get a new one they said. If that's the case, hell, I damn near got a new truck! :headbang:
