We don't have Gophers on Crap-Island -- we do Squirrel fishing ( on YouTube ) - I've been known to to up-state & watch Gophers heads explode @ 200 yrds. -- dat-dare is some fun --

When we lived in Wa.state and actually had gophers,my wife would crouch near the gopher hole with a "special gopher knife" and pounce when she heard the thing shinny up the hole.
sometimes I was afraid to go to sleep at night.

Now,we have chipmunks,I just trap the stupid things.
