I have almost finished purchasing items to create one, I'm building it around common to salvage materials...

the idea is to turn organic fuel (wood) into a explosive gas...

the fire has to reach 700 degrees to be successful

A gasifier requires a lot more fuel than it produces. If you use wood to make wood gas then plan on burning two to three pounds of wood to turn one pound of wood into gas. In a good design there will be no CO2 because the chamber is sealed from air getting to it. You will have charcoal left in the gas chamber at the end and the extracted gasses. The charcoal can be used in forges, kilns and to cook with but the amount of fuel is surprisingly small. To make power using wood you would be better off with a steam powered piston engine coupled to a wheeled vehicle.
