I like wood especially coco bolo. That wood makes nice handgun grips too.

They could have put some checkering on the grip for non slip. But the wood grain in coco bolo wood is nice.

Knives are generally one of those things that you get what you pay for. I've bought a few knives in the $100 range and have never been disappointed with their quality.

I have never been disappointed with decent knives under $100. All of my Becker knives were under $100.

My usual price point for a good (MY LIFE DEPENDS ON THIS KNIFE!!!!) is around $80 dollars or so. That does not mean cheaper knives are no good, but I can abuse (and I mean ABUSE) an expensive knife a lot loner before it fails.

I was on Amazon this morning, and they had a BK2 for about $60. I almost bought another one.

Till my bk2 my Buck knofe was the most expensive knife I owned an that was $40
think the bk2 was $68

My original CRKT M16, when it was new, was around $60-80 (been a few years) but they've dropped in price.

My last SOG knife (I think it was SOG) was $100, but I've abused the crap out of it too. Used it for things like a pry bar and such that is not good for knives, but it is still strong and sharp.

I think I used to have one of those. One of the tragic, lost knives, dropped it somewhere in Afghanistan.

Another vote for the bk2. But man, it's a monster. Glock knives are good beaters too. I have several of them I loan out for camping trips.

I have a 4" Buck folder in my pocket right now that I paid $150 for. A good quality knife is worth it. I dont think that $155 is too much for this survival knife set, if the quality is there.

I but making use of the large sheath and making it a stand alone survival kit.
And before I catch hell for a cheap multi tool I am surprised just how quality this one is for the money.
