I was never handed a power tool by my Dad, only hand tools. He was concerned for me and what I didn't understand.

Yep, I'm steady lurking the BBQ and smoking threads. A whole lotta info in them. I've been a little busy with RL as well as settling stuff up on another board (well, two of them), but I'll become more interactive once things settle down a bit.

@homefire: There is a fountain of knowledge on this board. The more I read, the more I realize these ladies and gents really know their stuff. I'm not a huge gun nut, even though I have a few and know how to clean and shoot them. I am more into crossbows, compounds and knives myself. Not to the point I am a fanatic or can offer up any expertise, but I have always been fascinated by them.

If you are who I think you are, you're a bit loony in my opinion, but definitely interesting. Stick around. So far, I don't think there are any here that play the games to the extent SB chose.

Louisiana Sauce is the best in my Bloody Mary's, so it's the best. :snob: it's the best of the cayenne sauces. Tabasco is nice because it takes a few drops. I like the Tabasco Chipotle sauce for the roasted jalapeno flavor, it's great for heating up smoked food and barbecue.

Crystal hot sauce originated in Louisiana in 1923. Same state as Tabasco sauce which was created in 1868. I guess you can say that Tabasco is 55 years more American.

HA. . .Y'all should read up on hot sauces if you haven't already. When I checked out when Tabasco and Crystal were invented, it lead me on to some of the others like Frank's (1918 and again in Lousiana), Texas Pete (Which actually originated in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1929), etc. I didn't even think about the history of any of these until now. They're all good hot sauces in their own right. Just not on Vanilla Ice cream. lol. . And it actually lead me to the first peppers used in these sauces. It brought me back to the Aztecs all the way to before 3500 B.C., which we know is now Southern Mexico. But the term "Hot Sauce" is anything using hot chili's, and again lead me on a journey throughout the globe. China, Japan, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, India, Morocco and a few others.

Which sort of brings the conclusion of the American Way. We take everything from all over the world, adopt it, claim it as our own, because we make it better. And that is why. . . President Donald J. Trump is a perfect fit to run our Great Nation. He epitomizes the adaptation of the American Spirit.
