Similar to Bob Evans Wildfire sauce but a little more kick
1 cup Kraft Original bbq sauce
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon dehydrated onion( I use homemade)
1 tablespoon bacon pieces
2 tablespoons liquid smoke
2 tablespoons Texas Pete hot sauce regular
3/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/2 cup Coca-cola classic ( Sorry Coke is better in this recipe than Pepsi) I can tell the difference
1 tablespoon clear gel ( not sure gel ) optional makes sauce thicker
Put all ingredients into a sauce pan. Over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Let it get to the bubbly stage but not a rolling boil. Remove from heat and put in a blender. Blend until smooth. Refrigerate in a jar with a lids.
Will last several months in refrigerator if not used.
Try doubling or triple a batch and substitute some pure maple syrup for a cup of sugar.
