California Walmarts briefly halt selling ammo due to state snafu

The retail powerhouse was forced to stop sales of ammunition at 131 discount department stores across the state due to administrative delays with new regulatory requirements.

Signs greeted would-be Walmart ammo buyers this week advising the halt in sales as new regulations took effect at the beginning of the year. The root of the problem?

They barely sell it anyhow. It's one small shelf of ammo and no one is ever at the register.

I think that was part of the plan in CA. The ammo laws are vague, confusing and overall a bureaucratic mess.
"Every personís life is theirs by right. An individualís life can and must belong only to himself, not to any society or community, or he is then but a slave. No one can deny another person their right to their life, nor seize by force what is produced by someone else, because that is stealing their means to sustain their life. It is treason against mankind to hold a knife to a manís throat and dictate how he must live his life."

Not just the ammo laws. The firearm laws as well. And I know it was purposefully done that way.

they don't want ammo to fall into the wrong hands, meaning the hands of people who like to keep themselves and loves safe
this way ms-13 and other bad guys can kill off good people and this will leave more room for democrats to vote

we do not normally shop at walmart, but we went a few weeks ago,and I went to the ammo area and got two 200 round boxes of 9mm fmj.
I put them in wife's cart and went out to the car to wait for the wife to get done shopping.
She calls me and asks me how I got the ammo, seems she was at the checkout and they threw a fit that the guy handed it to me to carry up to the checkout area.
she said that they do not do that, that you are to let them know what you want, and they will bring it up to the checkout area.
...ad one more reason not to shop there!

From the article:::The change in the law and new licensing procedures came about with the success of Proposition 63, which criminalized the private transfer of ammo in the state. Backed by California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom as the “Safety for All” voter referendum, the measure requires background checks prior to all ammunition sales as well as a moratorium on direct internet sales.

Californians are far too foolish to grasp anything that they place into law, so they just do it. It gives them a sense of security, it is like Daddy is there, to tuck them in to bed. But, they won't get away with their foolhardy doings, because they will reap what they sow. There ain't no such thing as peace and safety, it is a dangerous world. Only fools think that safety is in a law; and not in a gun, wielded by a strong man or woman.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 1 Thess 5:3

I can be extraneous, and I can be wrong--but those things, are balanced by good things. I ain't sure what they are, but I have them!

California is the most f--ked up state in the union. The last gun I bought at walmart was it! It was insulting. The commie b*tch completed the transaction having me show my CHL and DL and her copying them. Then she wraps the 22 rifle up and tapes it all up and then says she has to carry the rifle out for me for safety reasons. Remember the CHL? So I said oh yeah, you do realize I'm carrying a loaded 1911 in a holster right? Stupid....
